About Vanessa K.

We cleared our Kickstarter project goal!!!

We started a Kickstarter campaign at the beginning of February.  Thanks to dedicated fans and inspired followers, not only did we clear our $7500 project goal on March 13th, we came in $1500 over!

We are so looking forward to going into the studio and now, thanks to you, we can.

Lots more updates to come, including a big shout-out page to our friends that backed us and behind the scenes footage from our recording dates which start in May.

For more information on the project, visit our Kickstarter page.

14 days and counting!

It is so exciting to see all the support coming in.  I’m getting emails, Facebook messages and lots of love from you all.  Thank you so much for your support and pledges!  We are at $3,400.  If we get to $3,750 tonight we’ll be halfway there.  I think we can do this!

If you haven’t had a chance to back the Kickstarter project, please click the link and pledge today!  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1555721789/help-vanessa-kafka-record-a-new-ep

3/10 Show Cancelled

It is with much regret that we announce the cancellation of our show at the Main Pub scheduled for Saturday 3/10.  Unfortunately I came down with a nasty illness and while I am now recovering it has thrown the band’s rehearsal schedule for a loop.  You guys take time to see us and we don’t want to deliver anything but the best.  We know we can’t in time for 3/10.

We hope to be back in CT soon and will keep you posted on rescheduling.  In the meantime, we are getting really excited about our upcoming studio dates in April.  We can’t wait to share new music with you soon.  We need your help though!  Please visit the Kickstarter page and make a pledge…a small amount is very much appreciated and if you can do more, wonderful.  We can only do this project with your support.

Lots of love,

Happy Holidays and Thank You

Happy Holidays!

I am home with my family in CT, thinking about everything that has come my way this year. I have made great friends, revived my pursuits in music, thought long and hard about my future, had many adventures and shared many memories. I want to thank you for continuing to support me in my endeavors. This path often has challenges and I feel very blessed to have such an amazing support system.

The holidays are a time for laughter and loved ones. I hope you are enjoying time off and treating yourself to cookies! I know I am.

Lots of love to you this season and a very happy new year!
